AOC Cahors. The second wine of the Château
de Cayx, which represents by volume 30%
of the total production of the estate,
emerges from limestone and clayey terraces
surrounding the Château.
Fermentation and ageing in stainless-steel
Vintages currently sold: 2006, 2007,
This wine presents a profound red robe.
Its nose exhibits marked scents of black
fruit, especially plums and blackberries.
The mouth is supple and luscious, but
well-structured and balanced. Accessible
and seductive, with a fruity finish,
Les Marches de Cayx may be enjoyed slightly
chilled, with some red meat or a grilled
breast of duck.
